Title:  WCRL 6499
Description:  One of two locomotives on the West Chester's roster with B&O heritage, this GP-9 was constructed in 1956 and served it original owner until the 1980s. After a period on the Ohio Central, the locomotive came to the West Chester and was repainted into a Pennsylvania Railroad paint scheme for a few years before restoration to its current look. The locomotive has recently been refurbished to provide many more years of service for the railroad.

Description:  WCRL 6499 sits in the yard in West Chester. 6499 is a GP9 originally built for the Baltimore & Ohio railroad in October of 1956 with the same road number, and was later acquired by the Youngstown & Austintown Railroad with the same road number. Later, it was bought by the Ohio Central and renumbered to 99, which afterwards was bought by West Chester Railroad and renumbered back to 6499.
