Album Info:From 1995-2000, it seemed like everytime I ran across the Iowa Interstate, the train was powered by one of their 5 Alcos/MLWs. They're long gone now, so time to post some pictures.

Description:  On a Saturday, I happened across an IAIS local that was doing 'clean-up' work-picking up cuts that were not ready on Friday. And, the first 2 units were M420s. Here, the local (which was over 100 cars long) comes into Newton at track speed.

Description:  In the late 90s, RS36 #900 held down the regular Council Bluffs yard job for Iowa Interstate. She yarded and made up all road trains, and ran transfers to UP, every day. Still, as far as I can tell, her exploits went virtually unnoticed by the local railfans, and there doesn't seem to be many pictures.
