Album Info:Heading up to the Iron Range subdivision at 0300 on the 30th with little sleep was a very wise decision. Plenty of trains, but by the end of the night six less engines and five injured crew members following the head on collision between loads leaving the siding at Highland and empties returning North. Enjoy the 401 and 6258 leading their seperate trains for what would be the last time, plus the 404,407, and 6203. Thanks for viewing and leave comments!

Description:  At the time I was just happy to find DMIR power on the point literally moments before sunrise. In a few hours I would realize I was the last person to ever shoot the 401 leading a train.

Description:  The 404 charges upgrade passing some nice yellow in the process. Not much variation to the color in alot of area's but I'm still pleased with the results.

Farewell to U789
Title:  Farewell to U789
Description:  U78952-30 with its three IC SD40-3's yanks on em' as they approach HWY 44 on their way to Highland. Less than an hour later they would enter the main track and head South right into IC 6265 North. The wreck involved six engines (all IC SD40-3's and the DMIR 401), all of which were to be scrapped on site. The crew members were all hospitalized, but no life threatening injuries were sustained.

Description:  The 407 was my favorite DMIR SD40-3 for its numberboards, even though the touch up paint now makes it a little less appealing she still looks good heading South out of Fairlane as the sun starts to fade.
