Album Info:The Wichita Central Corridor Railroad grade separation project or,"The Hump" as it is called by dispatch, was completed in 2009 after a 4 year construction schedule. At a cost of $105 million dollars, it eliminated 5 grade crossings in downtown Wichita, created a 'quiet zone' by elevating 2 miles of the railroad bed 26 feet into the air. Wide enough for 3 tracks, it currently has only 2.
