This fine 2-8-2 Mikdao was built by Baldwin in May of 1923 as CMStP #8328 but renumbered later to MILW 428 in June of 1938. The loco served well for nearly 31 years before being sent to the scrapper's torch. Specs - 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 26x30" cylinders, engine wt of 292,770 lb, tractive effort of 54,723 lb. No photographer was listed for the photo. |
