Description:
Stopped at Vancouver, BC, Canada, is CP 2-8-2 #5244. This loco was rebuilt from an older CP 2-8-0 #3656 (serial #48344) in March of 1949. Specs - class P1n, 63" drivers, 215 psi boiler pressure, 22x32" cylinders, engine weight of 271,000 lb, tractive effort of 44,927 lb. The loco lasted until February of 1964 before being scrapped.
