Description:  I was just happy to see this straight SD40 body back on familiar turf. Then I noticed how hte patches were placed and realized that this was one of the rare STL&H non- Dash 2 units. Neat unit. It says SD40-2 on the side but I was un-aware that these went through any rebuilding program.

Description:  I didn't have any light left with which to shoot this train, but I have to admit- it was pretty sweet to chase this guy. Eight ponies pulling hard to climb out of the Mississippi River Valley- it was a great sound! The stretch of railroad between Marquette and Monona is no joke- nothing but hills and curves. I can't wait to come back and fan it again.
