Description: |
Photographed sitting behind a fence near the Musum of the American Railroad in Fair Park but reportedly owned by Dallas Terminal Railway is a former Pennsylvania 44 Tonner. The only visible markings is a faded TSI on;the cab and 449 on the frame. An internet search reveals this locomotive was delivered as Pennsylvania 9356 (the last 44 tonner built for PRR) in August 1948. This locomotive woqked for both Penn Central and Conrail but that's where the trail grows cold. After PC/CR I could not find any information on her whereabouts and how TSI 449 ended up on painted on the side but instead of being scrapped she ended up on Dallas Terminal Railway. |
