Beautiful action photo of Canadian National 4-6-2 Pacific #5110 with its freight cars passing by the iconic Stratford station. No date, location or photographer was listed but obviously the location is Stratford, Ontario station. Bruce Gemmel found the other pieces of info - Phillip T. Horning took the photo on 4/2/1958. Thanks again, Bruce, for your help! It is appreciated. |

CN 4-6-2 #5272 - Canadian National |
Description: |
Really sharp looking 4-6-2 Pacific, CN 5272, sits almost as if posing for the camera. The white sidewalls are impressive. Built by Montreal Locomotive Works in 1918 as Canadian Government Railway #500 (serial #59484, class J-7-a), it was later renumbered CN 5272 when it joined the CN roster in 1919. The loco was retired and scrapped in February of 1960. Unknown photographer |
