Description:  Southern Pacific 47704 is a Maintenance of Way tank car, preserved by the California State Railroad Museum. The car has a 7988 gallon capicity, and is parked with ATSF 2-10-4 5021. In the background are SP Daylight cars 290 and 291, a diner and lounge respectively.

Description:  Southern Pacific 291, the French Quarter, was built for use on the Sunset Limited in 1950. It wore SPs silver and red paint scheme, before coming to Sacramento and getting its Daylight paint.

Title:  SP 2170
Description:  SP 291 is parked with its commuter cousin. The two-tone grey car at left (SP 2170) is one of several Southern Pacific Pullman coaches preserved by the Sacramento Southern Railroad, and the California State Railroad Museum. These cars were used on the Peninsula Commute run in the Bay Area, as well as some long-distance trains across the whole SP system. SP 291 was built by Budd for use on the Sunset Limited in the 1950s.
