Western Railway of Alabama's flagman is lining and locking the east siding switch for the main line after a 3 train meet |
Description: |
Tracks in the background were used for set-outs and pick-ups for years. Far track was extended house track, that also crossed Central of Georgia/Southern Railway at grade. These tracks remain on the east side of the diamond, but are long gone from this picture location. Siding switch is now power operated and self-restoring (non-CTC, however) |

With Bendix radio in hand, the flagman of WofA train #214 is about to swing down and line and lock the east switch to the siding.
