According to the October 1971 issue of the Official Railway Equipment Register (ORER), this was one of 99 cars listed in the 47500-47699 series, 50'6' inside length, 9'2" inside width, 10'6" inside height, 4888 cubic foot capacity, door opening 8 feet. Also shown in the lower left is PRR 469896 with a load of steel plate, and unfortunately the ORER generalized a bit on this series, listing 315 cars in the 469300-469999 series of various lengths, capacities, and load restraining equipment. |
