I don’t think it would’ve even been possible to survive jumping out at full speed. Cause was an oversize load 18-wheeler obstructing the grade crossing. Train came barreling down and struck it, causing the lead engine (8245 - GE ES44AH) to raise up and crash upside down, derailing the other three engines (8210 - GE ES44AH, 7894 - GE ES44AC, and 5614 - GE AC4400CW) and several intermodal cars to derail, with some hitting the Pecos Chamber of Commerce building, injuring 3 people on the ground.
