I found some more info on these. EL 3657 and 3667 were involved in a severe wreck on November 11, 1973. But the units were taken into the EL's Hornell shops and rebuilt in 1974 from parts supplied by EMD. The 3667 received a new SD45-2 hood but remained an SDP45 underneath, including the fuel tank. The 3657 received an entirely new carbody and a dash-2 electrical cabinet. EL 3657 survived on Conrail as CR 6688 and EL 3667 survived as CR 6698. see also http://crcyc.railfan.net/locos/emd/sdp45/sdp45proto.html. and also you should send your CR and CR Predecessor pics to this site too http://crcyc.railfan.net.

So that would mean this unit is still and SDP45 then.

The 3657 and 3667 were the only two sdp45s with dash-2 long hoods, after being involved in a Thanksgiving Day 1973 wreck at Windam,Ohio while running on the opposite trackand going into a commercial siding at 50mph the 3657 laid over on the engineers side an the 3667 which I was the head brakeman laid over and went ontop of the 3657.
