X787-03 (Part 1)  Contributor's Pick!
Westbound CSX train X787-03 has stopped on Track 1 Main by the VI Tower in Connellsville for a crew change. CSX 35 has the duties of towing these five former UP/CNW locomotives still wearing their Armour Yellow. They are going to be former CREX as well, because they have been sold to the Canadian National Railway. In 2011and 2012 they were being leased to CSX, helping them solve their locomotive shortage. Now with CSX's recent new locomotive orders being filled, these veteran GE's are now expendable. I'll miss seeing them around, but at least they are not being scrapped.
