CB&Q 2-10-4 Class M-4 6320         
Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad 2-10-4 Class M-4 6320 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on an unknown date in 1927, photograph by Baldwin Locomotive Works, Chuck Zeiler collection. Number 6320 was built by Baldwin in 1927 (c/n 60291), was upgraded to class M-4-A during July 1939 by application of 28X32 cylinders (built with 31X32 cylinders), roller bearings and cross counter-balanced (main wheels only), was retired and sold for scrap in May 1961.

Bob Campbell General Chuck-Probably just a"typo", but when these engines were upgraded, the cylinders were "sleeved" down to a 28" bore; the stroke remained the same at 32" (not 22"). 1/24/2014 1:44:27 PM
