BNSF #32 WILLIAM B. STRONG         
Built in 1940 by Budd in Lot #96902 as AT&SF 32 seat club lounge 26 seat chair news stand #1397, 1 of 2 (#1396-#1397) ordered in July 1939 and delivered in January 1940. In November 1940, both cars were reconfigured to 47 seat club lounge, and were reconfigured again in 1952 to 23 seat club lounge 20 seat diner. #1397 was retained by Santa Fe, and was rebuilt in 1975 to track inspection-theater #89 to BNSF #32. 1 of 5 BNSF cars on the rear of the EB #8 EMPIRE BUILDER on Saturday, July 12th, 2014. About to enter the west portal of the 7.8 mile Cascade Tunnel on the ex-GN Stevens Pass line (Scenic Sub).
