Two BNSF ACes Lead the ENDLESS Coal Empties Train  Contributor's Pick!
Seemingly stretching into infinity, a NB empty coal train emerges from a fog bank early in the morning just north of Palmer Lake on UP maintained trackage on the "Joint Line" with the BNSF. Directional running on the "parallel" double track portion of the line has the NB trains running on the UP and the SB trains running on the BNSF (seen in foreground). From South Spruce Mountain Road.
