ex-Southern Pacific*
Remnants of the ex-SP / Ojai spur crossing the Olive St on/off ramp to/from CA-33 / Ojai Fwy. *This line originated as the Ventura & Ojai Valley Railroad in the 1890s, and was purchased by the Southern Pacific Railroad a few years later. Named the Ojai spur it came off of the main line at what is now the Olive St crossing. Up until 1969 this spur traveled to Ojai, afterward the line only went as far as the USA Petroleum refinery off of Crooked Palm Rd. SP gave up using this line sometime after the closure of the refinery in 1984. Most of this old spur is now the [Rails-to-Trails] Ventura River Trail.
