SBRR 54
The Stourbridge Line's rare EMD BL-2 is seen heading a northbound excursion for Honesdale on a late summer afternoon. Built in 1949 for the Bangor & Aroostook Railroad, this unit is one of four ex-BAR BL-2s left in existance. At the time of this photo this locomotive was owned by the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce, with the railroad operated as the Stourbridge Railway, a subsidiary of New Jersey's Morristown & Erie Railway. The paint scheme is a slightly altered version of one the locomotive once wore for its original owner in northern Maine.
