Mary Rae McPherson General A few corrections. #17 last ran on the CO&E on September 8, 1986. While switching coal hoppers that day, her dry pipe collapsed. Between that and her flue time running out, she was retired. Diesels had already arrived on the property at that time. The CO&E remained an independent company until 2012, and it became a division of Progressive Rail on December 20, 2012. 7/10/2017 3:52:37 PM
Mary Rae McPherson General I should mention I cab rode this locomotive in June, 1985, when I was 12 years old. Great memory! 7/10/2017 3:53:54 PM
