Camden. Here is the second of three successive duplicate 35mm color slides via Al Chione that were taken in Camden, New Jersey, on 24 June 1957. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #3858, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during May of 1923 and retired in April of 1958 after 35 years of faithful service. The names of the photographer and the hostler, as well as the road number of the Reading Railroad locomotive at the left, are not recorded. ("Stoneborobranch"; #53 of 69) |
