L&DRR Bayou Sale Job
The Louisiana & Delta’s BAYOU SALE JOB was heading east along the main line of the BNSF at the NEW IBERIA station sign, across from WEST END PARK. The lead CF7 was still painted as Allegheny & Eastern 303. The unit was previously Allegheny Railroad 103; but when Genesee & Wyoming Inc. purchased the railroad on 1 October 1992, it renamed it the A&E and renumbered the locomotive 303, which explains that white 3. GWI sent the locomotive to the L&D in July 1993 and it was eventually relettered LDRR 1505. The other locomotive was the 1500.
