Arriving and Gone In A Flash
Caltrain 912 shoves northbound train #133 out of San Jose Diridon. Caltrain runs on stringent timetables, and the engineer wasnt going to wait for a railfan to run down to the other end of the train. The 1985-built F40PH shoves in notch 4 or 5 to get the train started, before the engineer cuts to idle as the train coasts out of the station. On the far right is Amtraks Coast Starlight, which had arrived just minutes before.
