| Amtrak 203 idles at San Jose with the southbound Coast Starlight. The P42DC is painted in a unique commemorative scheme honoring the 50th anniversary of Operation Lifesaver. For a period spanning most of July 2022, the engine was assigned to the Coast Starlight service between Los Angeles and Seattle. Despite being the trailing unit for the entirety of its west coast jaunt, it was still an interesting catch for area railfans. |
