| K-36 486 is working its way along the switchback at Garfield on the Monarch Branch. This scene was taken circa 1955 and the branch would not be narrow for much longer. It was converted to Standard Gauge in 1956. The branch is gone, but 486 is still around on the Durango & Silverton. |
