| At the shops in Cheyenne, GTEL 16 is between runs. 16 was one of thirty 8500 HP GTELs built by GE between 1958 and 1961. 16 was built in June 1960. It was sold to Nielsen Enterprises in 1971. It was later sold to Continental Leasing. The A Unit was moved to Kansas City in 1979. It was then donated to Illinois Railway Museum, but was scrapped in Kansas City in 1992. |
