| Built by Alco in January of 1947 originally as Erie #10, the switcher bounced through a few rosters. After Erie mergers, it landed on the EL roster as their #310, and then in the early 1980's, it was picked up by Air Products in Florida as APTX #1010. Finally, the engine was donated to the Hoosier Valley RR Museum by Silcott Railway Equipment Company and arrived on April 25, 1997. HVRM first restored it to its opriginal Erie colors as it was found by Paul Wester when he took this color slide. Around 2005-06, the Museum repainted in its Erie Lackawanna colors more befitting the time period set for their museum. The loco is still operational. This is a Paul Wester slide. |
