Here is a rare photo of the diminutive Wilmington Marine Terminal Rwy 0-4-0 tank steam locomotive #2. According to the info on the back of this original photo, it was built by Alco in 1918. Although I couldn't track down (no pun intended) its exact builder info, I'm fairly certain that it was built by the Cooke Locomotive & Machine Works in neighboring Patterson, NJ. A note on the back of the photo states "Last steam eng. In Del. Retired 1958." No photographer was listed and no exact day in June of 1958 was given. |
