Description:
Here is the tenth of 32 color prints of calendar art works that were commissioned by the Pennsylvania Railroad from 1925 through 1958. Shown here is Grif Teller's painting entitled "Horseshoe Curve." It was published originally in 1935. Depicted here is PRR engine #5419, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during February of 1927 and retired in March of 1949 after 22 years of faithful service. Visible at the right is the Kittanning Point Passenger Station.
