Description:
Here is page 23 of a 19-page article by Eric Hirsimaki entitled "Interview With Clair I. Clugh: Manager, Altoona Works (Retired)." It was published originally in the Summer 1996 issue of "The Keystone" magazine, page 38. Top Left-Hand Photo Caption: "Maintenance work being performed on the superheater of H8SB #1136 in the Juniata Erecting Shop." Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1136 is an H-8SB (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built in Juniata as an H-8B during September of 1909, rebuilt as an H-8SB in June of 1915, and retired in September of 1949 after 40 years of faithful service.
