Description:
Here is a photo via Paul W. Prescott. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4181, an E-3SD (4-4-2) "Atlantic" built in Juniata as E-2D number "3159" during May of 1906, rebuilt as an E-3SD in June of 1913, renumbered "4181" in July of 1914, and retired in August of 1935 after 29 years of faithful service. Note that the headlight, bell, and main driving rods have been removed in preparation for scrapping. The exact date and the location are not recorded. Gary Mittner Collection.
