This oil burning locomotive was built by Alco-Richmond in 1913 as one of KCS class E-4's. It had 63" drivers and could generate a respectable 200 psi for its 26"x30" cylinders. Engine weight was 262,400 lb and it could produce a tractive effort of 54, 742 lb. It appears to habe been rebuilt twice during its lifetime. No photogrpaher listed for this badly deteriorating photo and the date is an approximation. |
