Berwind-White, "Nancy," 0-4-0, 1960
BWCX. Here is an original photo that I took at the Berwind-White Railroad Car Shops in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, in April of 1960. Shown here is the steam locomotive called "Nancy." Bob Wingard (the locomotive engineer) is shifting one of the brass-bearing truck assemblies used only in the Shops from one location to another. Perhaps that is "Smitty" riding on the cabin steps. The track at the far right was the connecting link with the Pennsylvania Railroad. Once upon a time, there was a complete wye turn-around out there.
