Berwind-White, "Nancy," 0-4-0, 1964
BWCX. Here is an original photo that I took at the Berwind-White Railroad Car Shops in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, on 24 March 1964. Shown here is the steam locomotive called "Nancy." In this context, it looks like "The Little Engine That Could" has been relegated to the bone yard. All was not lost, however, as it was purchased and restored by Charles Hazelett of West Loop and eventually donated to the Railroaders Memorial Museum in Altoona, Pennsylvania. The builders plate indicates "Vulcan ~ 1918," which means that "Nancy" served faithfully for 46 years!
