Album Info:Penwell, Texas was a typical West Texas boomtown on the Texas & Pacific Railroad. It lived fast and died even faster as the oil boom moved on to other parts of West Texas. The sidings that once served Penwell are long gone as are most of the buildings but changes are in the air. Penwell may soon be the location for an Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle plant. A big name for a big "clean coal" plant. If so, this milepost on the Union Pacific Toyah Sub may see a big change.
