Description:  A CN tank train speeds along behind Bal Fab Services as it heads south through Lomira. The heavy duty structural steel and cable fence was put in after a 1997 derailment to protect the factory building and those inside. On 23 November 1997, the Wisconsin Central Ltd. had a derailment through here. Two cars crashed through the wall of what was then Kondex Corporation, unfortunately, this claimed the life of one factory worker, and injured others. Kondex Corporation has moved to a location away from the tracks on the northern edge of town and is still in business.

Description:  A Union Pacific coal trail hurries along north through Lomira. The train is on its way the the Pulliam Generating Station in Green Bay. The 6691 is emerging from behind the Cole Oil and Propane Company. The heavy duty barrier consisting of the "dragon tooth", cable and structural steel is in place to protect the local businesses located here from derailment.

Description:  Coal for the Pulliam Generating Station in Green Bay heads north through Lomira behind Union Pacific power. The line is actually a CN right of way. (formerly Wisconsin Central and Soo Line) Unit coal trains heading to Green Bay have been a common sight over the years, but are becoming less frequent. Coal power is becoming more and more frowned upon and the word on the street is that Pulliam will be shutting down one of its burners within a year or two.
