Title:  ATSF 4-6-4 #3460 - Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe
Description:  Not sure the date on the back of this photo is accurate as it is only one year after the loco was built but the blue paint show a lot of wear already.Baldwin built this streamlined 4-6-4 Hudson as ATSF #3460 in 1937. Nicknamed "The Blue Goose" because it was painted originally in robins egg blue and silve, it was streamlined to haul "The Chief" from Chicago to La Junta, CO. After only 19 years of service, it was retired and sold for scrap to George T Cook Company on June 14,1956. Original specs - serial #62083, class 3460, 84" drivers, impressive 300 psi boiler pressure, 23.5x29.5' cylinders, engine wt of 420,400 lb and tractive force of 49,300 lb. No photographer or exact day in 1938 was given for the photo.

Title:  CBQ 2-6-2 #2153 - Chicago, Burlington & Quincy
Description:  Getting close to retirement is Chicago Burlington & quincy 2-6-2 Prairie type steam loco #2153. It was built by Alco-Brooks in July of 1907 (serial #43493). June of 1906 serial #28420 In 1924, the loco was rebuilt to class R-5-A. The loco lasted until June of 1951 when it was retired and presumedly scrapped. Rbuilt R-5-A specs - 69" drivers, 185 psi boiler pressure, 25x28" cylinders, engine wt of 216,000 lb and tractive force of 39,900 lb. No location or photographer was listed for this original photo.

This with a screw on telephoto lens on a Miranda DR SLR 35 mm camera. The next photo was with bayonet mount wide angle. I wanted to see if I could change lenses fast enough.
