Title:  MON RS2 #22 - Monon RR
Description:  Nice b&w action shot from an original negative of Monon RS2 #22 at the Hammond, IN & Burnham, IL border with a passenger train in tow. See Eric Reinert's comment below for additional information. The photo was taken by an unknown Chicago rail fan who thankfully recorded the date and location on the glassine negative envelope.

MON F3A #109 - Monon RR
Title:  MON F3A #109 - Monon RR
Description:  Built in March of 1948, the unit was renumbered several times before ending up #109. According to the info on the original negative, this was taken at Hammond, IN - can anyone comfirm this location, possibly based on whether the site had these long switch lever rods to the right? The photo was made from an original negative taken by an unknown Chicago photographer.

Monon Turntable and Roundhouse
Title:  Monon Turntable and Roundhouse
Description:  Interesting view turntable and roundhouse from 1963. I believe the 75 foot, 150 ton turntable and the 10 stall turntable both date back to at least 1905. MON #22 sits just beyond the table and the iconic Hammond water tower can easily be seen in the far background. What appears to be a former heavyweight passenger car now appears to serve as a shed. A Near Perfect Train
Title:  A Near Perfect Train
Description:  2 back-to-back SW9s, starts with 2 gons, 2 tanks, a box-tank-box threesome, ends with 2 gons, and as the RR god meant it to be, a caboose. I'm not sure how the big box of "all" fits in.
