On a different day I was lucky enough to finally see AND #451 in action. I was pulling into the north parking lot when I noticed the crossing gates on the road north of the lot were down. Thought it was just a UP train to the King coal power plant, but lo and behold it was AND #451 shunting some hopper and centerbeam cars into their respective sidings. Sadly, it seems it was just finishing up its duties as I got out to take pictures. But it wms cool to see that this nearly 70 year old locomotive is indeed still operated. |
