Title:  LER 2-8-0 #1 - Logansport & Eel River
Description:  Built by Alco-Brooks in 1920, this nice looking Consolidation once appeared as Buffalo Creek & Gauley #13 before eventually heading to Logansport, Indiana, to star in the Logansport & Eel River excursion train. Plagued by financial problems, the LER #1 was eventually sold to Ohio Central RR in early 1990's. She was restored to operating condition to run on the Sugarcreek line, where she ran for two years. She was last in service in 1997 and is currently stored out of service at Morgan Run, Ohio on the Ohio Central, waiting for mechanical rehabilitation. G.A. McKay slide

Description:  The story goes that in season the operations out of this terminal ran 24n7 often with both locomotives doing the duty. The following info is from Les Beckman via Tom Travis: "According to J. David Conrad and his books, the 2-8-0 was number 2 on the Eagle Lake & West Branch after being built as LS&MS #780, later # 5780. The later number carried over to the NYC. The Ten-Wheeler was EL&WB # 1. She was built as CH&W #109, then Chicago Jct. # 109, IHB 109/115/15, Potato Creek #8 and then Grasse River # 63. This info should be credited to J. David." /DL

Title:  AC 2-8-0 #36 - Algoma Central
Description:  Interesting shot of what appears to be the fireman filling the sand dome - must have been a hot job! The Montreal Locomotive Works built this 2-8-0 Consolidation in April of 1911 as Algoma Central 2-8-0 #36 (serial #49860, C-2 class). The loco served well for nearly 40 years before being scrapped between 1951-53. No date or location was given but it appears to be Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, Candad. This is a Robert G. Averill photo now in my rr collection.
