Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6909, an ES-17M built by GM-EMD as number "7606" in December of 1957, rated at 1,750 horsepower, and renumbered "6909" in preparation for the PRR-NYC merger. At the right is PRR N-5 cabin car #477411. A portion of the frozen Susquehanna River is visible in the background. |
