Nice roster shot of Chicago, Burlington & Quincy 2-8-2 #5351 as it sat in an unidentified yard in Nebraska. This solid performing 2-8-2 Mikado was built by Baldwin in March of 1919 as CBQ #5351 (serial #51562, class O-3). The loco served for nearly 38 years before being stored in a serviceable condition at Lincoln, NE starting January 18, 1957 for 17 months. It was finally sold for scrap in November of 1960. Specs - 64" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 28x32" cylinders, engine wt of 327,000 lb and tractive force of 66,645 lb. No exact location, date or photographer was listed for this photo. |

According to the CB&Q Locomotive Assignment Sheet dated Novemer 1, 1955, this locomotive was assigned to the Lincoln Division. |
