PRR 9864, EFP-15, 1959 |
| Description: |
Lorenz. Here is a photo via Bob Lorenz that was taken near Bellevue, Ohio, in June of 1959. Prominent here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #9864 and #9849. Both are EFP-15's built by GM-EMD and rated at 1,500 horsepower each. #9864 was constructed in August of 1952, while #9849 was built in May of the same year. This photo reminds me of the refrain in a song by the Rolling Stones: "Pleased to meet you! Hope you guessed my name." Brad Mann Collection. |
